CoolCubs.com Cub Scout Pack websites
CoolCubs is a simple to use Cub Scout Pack website building tool that helps even the most inexperienced adult build a powerful, BSA compliant website that keeps youth protection in mind. Cub Scout packs tend be large, and managing the details of each den and scout can become a challenge. Building a website that provides ample information about the entire pack and each den can be daunting. Maintaining it from week-to-week can be impossible for a volunteer web-dad who may be involved only in his son's den. CoolCubs eliminates these issues by offering individual den areas that can be maintained by their respective den leaders while pack leadership maintains the overall pack area of the website.

We keep Youth Protection in Mind
All of this is done in an environment that is password protected and has BSA Youth Protection guidelines in mind. We have found many Scouting groups use social media such as Facebook, Twitter and other services. The problem with these is that they give too much detail to the general public about meeting times, endangering children. In addition, Scouting units that singularly use an Internet based communication vehicle ultimately alienate some families that do not use the Internet or are not members of the subject social network service. ScoutLodge not only uses the Internet but also will mix in more basic forms of communication such as US Mail, telephone, newsletter and text messaging making sure all communication channels are covered. Successful Troop leaders all agree that clear, well organized multi-level communication is key to running a successful program.
